Frequently asked questions
Do you do custom orders / special requests? Most of my creations are custom orders. I love special requests and personalized commissioned work. Feel free to contact me anytime with a request. Keep in mind that I typically have a wait list for special orders.
Can you use my pet's real fur? Yes! I'm happy to include your pet's real fur in your sculpture. How much fur and where the fur is placed will depend on the fur length and texture,. At minimum, the fur can be put into the core of your sculpture. Feel free to ask me about this process if you're interested. This definitely makes for an extra special sculpture.

How much do you charge for custom orders? It depends on the project, most mini felted projects (1"-2") start at around $200.00. My most popular size (3"-4") start at $295.00, and the larger felted projects (5"+) start at around $425.00, depending on the size.
What is needle felting? Needle felting is the process of stabbing wool roving or like material repeatedly with special barbed needles. I have worked with all types of roving from sheep, alpacas, rabbits and have even worked with real pet fur on many occasions. I start each creation with a small fluff of raw wool roving and as I begin stabbing the wool, the barbs in the needles cause the wool to tangle. Felting each bit of wool into a firm shape makes it possible to create just about any shape. It takes tens of thousands of needle pokes to create each small piece and I do it all by hand. Needle felting is an old art form that has only recently began to gain popularity. I feel it’s one of the most tedious of the fiber arts but a lot of fun.
Are your creations pose able? Although I generally like to make my creations in a fixed pose I am happy to offer you the option of pose able felted critters, I can either use a wire armature or make them 5-way jointed so they can be gently posed, although there is an extra charge and this does cause minor wear on the wool, so please keep that in mind.
Do you really offer free repairs for life? Yes! Experience as an artist and a furbaby mama has taught me that things can happen. These sculptures don't break easily, but a cat or dog can easily shred one in minutes. As long as you have most of the shredded pieces and pay for shipping the sculpture to me, I will repair your sculpture for free.
